Keep connected at college – a student guide

Students 2It’s a hectic time for thousands of students across the country as they prepare to head off to college and university, many for the first time.

And with a hundred and one decisions to make –from where to live to how to manage finances – choices over what phone and internet deal to get can often be pushed to the back of the queue.

But at the same time it’s important to keep connected at college and to make sure you’re also getting the best value for money.

Phone and broadband

That’s why Ofcom has put together a guide for students on the communications services they may need during their studies.

The guide looks at both landline and mobile phones, as well as fixed line and mobile broadband.

It includes advice on what to consider before signing up for a deal, and suggests how to save money on these services.

There’s information on three Ofcom-accredited price comparisonn sites which can help you find the right package for your needs, as well as links to Ofcom’s recent research on broadband speeds.
