Media literacy e-bulletin

lit bull-headlineOfcom’s latest media literacy e-bulletin is out today and looks back on a hectic month of activity across the UK.

October has seen a number of major project launches and events across the country, including the launch of the Consortium for the promotion of Digital Participation.

The Consortium was launched on 15 October by the Minister for Digital Britain, the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, and Ofcom Chairman Colette Bowe.

Digital participation

Attended by representatives from Consortium member organisations, the event took place as part of a fortnight of activity to raise awareness and encourage digital participation across the UK.

The e-bulletin also looks back at the third annual Get online day, as well as Race Online 2012 – which aims to get four million socially and digitally excluded people in the UK online by 2012 – as well as IWF Awareness Day.
