How to watch HD

Millions of us now have televisions that can display pictures in high definition.

Recent Ofcom research revealed that that around 23 million HD ready TVs have been sold in the UK.

But just because you’ve bought an HD ready TV doesn’t mean you’ll be watching television in high definition.

High definition services

You will also need to sign up with a provider such as Sky or Virgin or buy a Freeview or Freesat set-top box.

We have put together a video which explains more about what you need to watch HD.

It looks at what equipment is required as well as the various high definition services that are currently available.
